(The girl is now called Alyssa)
Alyssa ran into class, fearing she was late.
“Ah, Alyssa, you’ve decided to join us finally,”smiles Mr January,”please take a seat.”
Flustered, she ran to her usual chair at the back. For a change, there was someone even later than Alyssa for a change. The door was flung open by a tall, messy brunette boy, his eyes darting around the class.
“Ah, someone even less punctual than Alyssa. Someone like that only comes around in a millennia,” the amused teacher chuckles,” and you MUST be our new student. Why don’t you introduce yourself?”
“Uh, hi I’m Alex Fletcher and I just moved here from Los Angeles ’cause my mom just got a new job and my sister is gonna go to high school here. I think that’s it.” he glanced around at everyone and looked at Mr January. Mr January nodded at him. As Alex came closer, Alyssa realised it was the boy from the park. Alex seemed to sense her eyes on him and winked flirtatiously at her. No one noticed his wink since the boys were leaning back in their seats listening to Mr January blabber on about Shakespeare’s Midsummer Nights Dream and the girls were gossiping about the new ‘hottie’ from America and the latest sale at the mall.
